Patricia has dedicated her career to enhancing the lives of children and their families. Her extensive background encompasses a wide range of therapeutic techniques tailored to meet the individual needs of her young clients.
As a passionate advocate for children with diverse abilities, Patricia's approach is deeply influenced by her own journey as the parent of an autistic child. Ashley Ahrens-Nguyen
Licensed Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist
Ashley is a dedicated pediatric speech therapist with extensive experience in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). With a passion for helping children overcome communication barriers, she has spent her career working closely with young patients and their families to provide tailored interventions that promote effective communication skills. Ashley holds a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
As a specialist in AAC, Ashley believes that communication is a human right and there are no pre-requisites to accessing augmentative communication systems. Ashley believes in the power of communication and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where all children can express themselves confidently.
In her free time, she enjoys gardening, baking bread and spending time with her husband and her young son.
Gus
Licensed Therapy Dog and Good Boy
Gus is a gentle and affectionate Golden Retriever licensed as both a therapy dog and a Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D.). With a natural ability to bring comfort and joy to those around him, he has touched the lives of many children in need of support. Gus has completed extensive training through a certified therapy dog program- Alliance of Therapy Dogs in 2019.
In his free time, Gus loves belly rubs, taking naps and hanging out with his family.
